Masterclass of patience

Today’s cricket match was something I won’t forget anytime soon.It was a quick 6-over game, and our group team came out all guns blazing — smashing 93 runs. In a short format like that, 93 is a massive score. Honestly, we walked off the pitch feeling pretty confident, maybe even a little too confident.
When the opponent’s innings began, you could feel the pressure on them. Early dots, a few edgy singles, and the tension was thick in the air. It felt like the game was slipping away from them.
But then, their captain stepped up.
What followed was a pure display of skill, patience, and determination. No wild shots, no panic — just clean, calculated cricket. Shot after shot, he slowly chipped away at the target. Even when the required run rate climbed, he didn’t lose his cool. While others around him struggled, he stood firm, carrying his team on his shoulders.
And guess what? He single-handedly chased down the total and snatched the game from us.
Watching him, I realized something important:Talent is great, but patience and mental toughness are what make the real difference when the pressure is on.
Today wasn’t just about losing a match — it was about gaining a lesson.Stay calm. Trust your ability. Keep grinding even when things seem out of reach.Because sometimes, that's all it takes to turn the impossible into possible.
